The Ortofon 2M Red is the best-selling entry-level moving-magnet cartridge featuring an elliptical bonded diamond and an output voltage of 5.5 mV. The patented split-pole pins with copper wire enable MC-like frequency response linearity. Channel separation 22 dB at 1 kHz, frequency response 20–20,000 Hz. Recommended tracking force 1.8 g. Hopelex body. Upgradeable to 2M Blue cartridge. Suitable for most turntables.
